Yahweh is leading me on a journey. My whole life is a journey bringing me closer and closer to Him. But this current bend in the road is all about healing. The spark in me was ignited in late spring. I had a deep interest in receiving Lasik eye surgery. I began to do research and set up a consultation with the doctor. One day as I was doing research, a realization hit me. Getting the surgery would confirm that I don’t believe that my Creator will heal my eyes. The bible speaks very clearly of Yeshua healing the blind. Furthermore it is written in Mark 16:17-18 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover. This verse tells us that signs will accompany believers, and one of them is healing. Am I believer? At that moment I canceled my consultation with the doctor and began to do deep searching. I knew that healings are real. I knew that we are not reaching the potential that we should be. We need to use the gifts He gave us. I CRAVED more. I met some very interesting people whose wisdom and faith no doubt came from Yahweh. I knew then, that I needed to do this. I began to pray for people. I prayed for their pain to leave and it did. I am a very quiet person and prefer to not talk with people, especially strangers. But my Father commands me to pray for people and so I do it. It is not me doing the healing. It is Yeshua. Recently on sabbath we were awaiting the arrival of another person. We contacted her and she said she was going to come later because she had a headache. We continued on without her. The Spirit began to press on me that we needed to go pray for her. We all got up, walked to her house, and prayed for the pain to leave and for healing to come in Yeshua’s name. We prayed multiple times and she felt relief. She explained to us that she had used herbs for the pain to go away. My immediate thought was that prayer is even better than plants. Yahweh gave us plants for healing. But he is the Creator and made us. There is not a fraction of a doubt that He can take that pain away without the use of plants. I thought about that experience later in the evening. I found myself being very grateful to have tinctures and essential oils for certain symptom that I was experiencing. Then it made me realize that I too was in her mindset. I used the plants that He gave me. But He also gave us people. Shouldn’t our first response be to pray? Pray always. Pray often. Are we not believers? Do we pray to show that we are? John 14:12-14 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. Prayer or plants? Which one brings glory to the Father?
